The decline of the world's pollinator's is alarming, but certainly not a new phenomenon. Historically, the monitoring of pollinator activity has relied on manual observations and insect traps, which alone, are incapable of providing impactful solutions to reversing biodiversity decline.
AgriSound was established in January 2020 with a vision to combat global insect decline, by developing innovative sensor technology to generate insight into pollinator levels. The in-field devices will offer opportunity for everyone, from gardeners to commercial agricultural organisations, to play an integral part in actively managing pollinator levels.
"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then men would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."
- Albert Einstein
